circuit board, I then put in a plastic box, I then wrapped the box in

you should also make sure power cables are separate from the
interconnect cables and if they have to cross then do so at 90'. That's
basic electrical engineering.

blu-tac moulded round every 28cm (approx) tidies the sound up
significantly.

What about all the wire in the walls? You just replaced a 3 ft. section?
You also need to rip out all that substandard wire inside the walls, all
the way back to the power meter, and replace it with Venom as well.
