EVERYTHING we do in our post-production facility is at 24-bit, even if the final product is 16-bit or less!! The reason is that EVERY TIME you do ANYTHING to that file, i.e. change the volume or do a fade-in/out or make a simple edit or whatever, you're changing the 'number'. Everytime the

I've had one of the Tascam HD-P2s for almost 8-months and LOVE IT! Media is getting cheaper all the time, too. I've got 4-2GB cards and a 4GB card. Each 2GB card can do almost 2-hours at 44.1kHz/24-bit. It'll take digital in (S/PDIF) and lock to external wordclock or video sync as well as
