I had similar thoughts once, but now I think this:
when you open Nautilus you have a menù on the left, fully
customizable, that allows to choose the folder you need to open. So in
Unity bar you need only to open Nautilus, then choose from its menù.
Operations lasts 2 clicks for folders in menù.
Hello!
I'm a big fan of Ubuntu and the Unity interface and wanted to ask a
few questions about the design. You recently changed the dash Home
because the apps listed there were, usually, already in the launcher
and i thought that was an awesome move, even more so since the
introduction of the
Hi Marco!
Thank you very much for your reply! Yes i had already tried the Bliss Lens,
my post wasn't really about changing the App Lens. It was about creating 2
new shortcuts in the launcher, making it easier to access the current App
Lens and File Lens. Adding quicklists to these 2 new shortucts

A) That's old 11.04 screenshots. IIRC the lenses are to be movable to the
launcher in 12.04, not sure about filters as quicklists, through :P
B) How the filters act in 11.04 and 11.10 and 12.04 is exactly what you are
describing - selecting the internet filter will only show you internet
apps,
But even if you think that an App Lens launcher isn't a good idea, if you
think about the Files Lens it make more sense. Unity is being built to use
Lens right? So why create a launcher to nautilus instead of the Files Lens?
The launcher would then have a quicklist to Home Folder... Maybe i'm not
Thank you very much Georgi! That is great news =)
