If you are a constant researcher and plan on doing many of the records
here, what i found very helpful was downloading Picasa 3 by google which
will enable you to clear up any and all the records. Some of the records
that i had found in very poor shape and barely visible,Picasa 3 made them
look
; image or record. Not the half page certificate. That could be one huge clue.

I have been researching my family for over 15 years and have done quite
well. I have found all the records on my fathers side and my mother's
fathers side in St Michaels and have had them all translated with no
problems dating back to the 1700s in some cases. The only problem is i
have had no
nks but i do have the obit from the Fall River newspaper and it was no
help. Obits back then in 1916 gave little info in this case

Maybe so but i have done quite well and have researched back to the 1600s
and translated on 3 lines so far and this would be the final one and i am
confident it will be complete this one too. She got married in Fall River
in 1895 and died in 1916 very clear on both records as to her marriage
Her husband was born there there so my guess is that she might come from
the same area and they would get married in 1895 in the usa

Thank you Aaron this looks very good and that is his name but he would
have to be 22 years old and his wife to be would be Anna Cabral and she
would be 17 and gets married to her Aug 18 1895 Jose father is Victorino
da Silva. Jose's name fits but those people do not. Thank you for this
Been looking for Anna Cabral in the Baptism area of the Rosario parish of
St Michaels and going to search the Santa Cruz Baptism's She was born
around 1879 and was the daughter of Antonio Cabral Silva and Anna Lucianna
She died in 1916 at the age of 37 according to the death cert.how accurate
i agree, that more than likely his passport is in the missing books bu that
gives some kind of time line as to his arrival into the usa.

After successfully going back 3 generations in Santa Cruz St Michael i
have hit a generation that i can not find anything on him i tried to find
his obit based on the wedding of his child. His name is Manuel Fragoso de
Mello probably died in the late 1700.but could not find an obit in his
Margarida who probably left the same island of St Michaels
