JB, Passenger manifests emigrating (leaving) out of the Azores are called Passaportes. Ponta Delgada on Sao Miguel island was a major port and many leaving from Santa Maria usually went to the closest port, which would have been Ponta Delgada. However, Ponta Delgada has gaps in their records.
