Vivian and Al,
To my knowledge I am not related to Mary (Machado) Bezzera, but one of my
co-workers is her niece. Rosemarie Bezzera-Nader is an instructor here at
FCC and says that her aunt is a wonderful person. Unfortunately, Rosemarie
hasn¹t paid much attention to her family history and only

Theresa,
Amazing. I know how hard it is to read these records. For starters I would
be interested in Captain Manoel de Sousa de Figueiredo and Dona Isabel de
Chaves
who were the parents of Joam Soares de Figueiredo. I have Joam's marriage
record 20 May 1708. Joam married Maria de Braga, father

Vivian,
I'll try to find out if she knows Bernadette. My guess is yes, because
Rosemarie seems to know everybody. Yes, I know how old Rosemarie is - she's 2
days older than I am. We're not that much younger than you are. But, I'd rather
not publish my age here and now. ;-)

Vivian,
The book is called Our Portuguese Heritage, an informal genealogy of the 3000

published by CHiP (The Community History Project) of Edgartown, MA. I bought
the first two-volume set in 1996 for about $75. Its

photograph those records. I'm sure my cousin will be overjoyed, too.
Thank you oh so much,
