Hi,
I am quite new to bacula and try to use it on NetBSD with an ADIC
Autochanger (DLT).
With NetBSD, I can use chio to talk to the autochanger - the
DLT-Drive can be accessed via /dev/nst0, the changer with /dev/ch0,
no problem, chio and mt can work with it.
I configured bacula-sd.conf so that
Hi,
I'm planning to migrate the catalog of a running bacula installation from
sqlite to postgresql.
At first, I tried to import a sqlite dump to a freshly created postgres db. It
fails at some create table statements. Error message is ERROR: syntax
error at or near UNSIGNED at character 44.

Hi Again
That wasn't much response, so I will try again. Can I use bacula clients
version 1.36.1 with bacula server version 1.32d ?
If not dos it cause any problems upgrading my server, eg. database
inconsistency. ?
Thanks
Best regards

Has anyone experience of using a StorageTek L700 tape library with bacula?

Hello list,
I'm trying to restore something from a job with a huge number of files in it.
I get as far as Building directory tree for JobId 1589 ..., but after a few
minutes I'm thrown back to my shell and cannot reconnect to the director.
Director appears to be running still, but when I run

The status is given for all the drives known to the SD.

Yes, it requires a lot of memory if you have a huge number of files. If
you cannot get enough memory (i.e. enough swap space), then about the only
solution is to select a different restore option to enter the filenames one
at a time or create a file with a list of the names.
OK, I'll try
Hi,
I am trying to create a rescue cdrom on debian.
The CD boots and I can log in but some scripts are missing (partition.hda
format.hda etc) and I couldn't find
anything in the makefiles either. Is the howto outdated ? What am I doing
wrong ?

I just did that. It didn't put gnomeConf.sh into /lib, but it did put it into
/opt/gnome/lib. So I copied it into /lib, ran configure and make. No errors
relating to gnome, although I still haven't found any wx-config file.

The label command from within bconsole was resolved by setting the
permissions on /dev/pass0 (your changer device under FreeBSD). I'd
already checked the /dev/nsa* permissions, which were correct.
