debug it and see if there's a specific packet or message going somewhere
that is causing that reset.
Thanks!

Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
It's the best place to buy or sell services for
m 6/5. I'm more than willing to keep building
64bit debs should anyone else want them. The only issue I've run into is
that I need to unload usb_storage to get barrybackup to back my 8800 up
without forcing the device to reboot.

;s the exact same behavior I get when I
have usb_storage loaded and try to run any of those programs with my 8800,
and I was pretty sure that was a known bug?

but hey, it works.

P.S. I was having problems with the device shutting down during sync
until I removed the usb_storage module as suggested in another thread.
A very unscientific test (it worked 1 time) says that fixed i

I've just joined the mailing list and although not a developer, hopefully I
can help with testing etc.
I have a 8120 through Telefonica in Spain. I run Ubuntu Hardy 8.10, Barry
version 0.12-1 Blackberry OS 4.3. Installation was OK but the 8120 was not
found even though it is mounted and I can comm

least she's not using Vista!

If I remove "Content Store" from config, it works.

Thanks Chris.Your efforts are much appreciated. I'm also backing up with
Blackberry Desktop Software on my wife's laptop so I don't need to rely on
Barry. I just like to be self-sufficient in Linux.
