Same issue here, but I think it's due to Lion, since I have the same problem
in other IDE with black background.
And it seems that 10.7.1 didn't fix the problem.

I've already done both (i.e. lightened background and enlarged
pointer) to make BBE usable but it's hardly a desirable solution.
So, I take it then that BBE doesn't address this issue yet?
One possible fix for the dev to consider is making the pointer
automagically change to a lighter color when

Yet? Let's see, this came up on the this discussion group about
five days ago. Have you actually made a request to BBEdit

Completions come from a variety of sources. One of them is a tags file produced
by exuberant ctags:

This R.plist and the two scripts no longer work. Does anyone know how
to get R syntax support in BBEdit?

Nice of you, Bare Bones, NOT TO MENTION THAT in the App Store.
Of course I figured it would be easier for future upgrading (by the
way, I'm paying the same price of a new user? Thank you for rewarding
my loyalty), so I brought my upgrade off the App Store.
I'm sort of upset about this, cause now
Hi, I just want to say that I completely agree with Jeff's comment. I found
that comment by Googling bbedit pyflakes because I'd very much like to see
the same capability. It would significantly add to BBEdit's power as a
Python editor.
The great thing about pyflakes for this application,

I have always found upgrading with BareBones direct about as easy as
it gets. You won't ever see me anywhere near the App Store. BBEdit
doesn't suck but I bet App Store does, like so many
When I am using Command-Delete (backspace) to delete entire words in

this disruptive to my workflow, as it's different from every other app

Thanks, I didn't think this was possible out of the box, but wanted to
confirm it. Dreamweaver has this feature, and it's something I have
missed since moving over to BBEdit.

I was asked today if BBEdit can, in a HTML document, auto-complete CSS

For example, if I have at the top of my HTML5 document:
