Posting for Rob Dobos:
During a brief stop at the Lakeland Centre at Van Wagners Beach in Hamilton,
at about 12:25 pm I had an immature Arctic Tern in a group of about 35
Common Terns. The birds were close to shore and flew by first from the east
heading towards Burlington but soon turned around
Actually you can go east from the parking lot on the unpaved trail at the east
end of the parking lot, it's shorter. I usually jog going south past the lot,

On Wed,
I was jogging through Indian Summer Trail Park around 12:30pm today and
observed what I believe to be a Western Grebe in a pond near the leash free
park. Long neck, white on the front of the neck, black on the back of the
neck, yellowish/orange pointed beak.
Park in the lot at the end of
I had good views of the Western Kingbird at 0740 this morning in the tree
line on the west side of the "Old Field" at the Fletcher Wildlife Garden.
Directions as previously posted: Prince of Wales Drive east of the
Experimental Farm.
