In addition to the Cattle Egret, I just found 3 Cackling Geese on the water off
the former CIL factory. Continue south on Hwy 4. Turn east on Hwy 33 and watch
for a pull off on the waterside about 1km down the road. Lots of Canada Geese
to work through but these birds are classic (and close).
The Cattle Egret reported early afternoon by Kurt Henigge on eBird continues at
Millhaven. It is now distantly visible from Taylor Kidd Boulevard, about 500m
east of Hwy 4. It is with cattle to the south of the road. Hwy 4 is accessible
from junction 593 on the 401.

McGeachy Pond is just before you enter Erieau, Ontario.
The highway 40 exit from the 401 is still closed. Exit at

November is the month when birders come to Presqu'ile Provincial Park in
search of one of Presqu'ile's specialties, PURPLE SANDPIPER, which

even more unlikely shorebird did show up this week, relieving the tedium
of typical

Around 5:15 pm today I watched several V's of sandhill cranes flying in
groups of between 8 to almost 100. They were coming from the south somewhere
to the west of Bruce Rd 10 near Tara. I observed them from just south of the
intersection of Hwy 21 and Bruce Rd 10 near Allenford. They continued
Eurasian Tree Sparrow has been reported to the Sault Naturalists in Wawa,
Ontario. It's been coming to a feeder since October 16th apparently. I just
talked on the phone with the homeowner right now and she was looking at the
