Betsy Potter first spotted the Little Gulls here at Queenston Boat Launch. We
have 3 adults. Also 2 adult Bald Eagles in tall Eagle pine on Ontario side.
Note parking is at a premium down here with boats and trailers. There is an
upper parking lot. Access from Dumfries.

Willie D’Anna just spotted the juvenile Black-legged Kittiwake in the raft of
resting Bonaparte’s Gulls between American and Horseshoe Falls, Niagara Falls.
Also Peregrine just flew through. Lots of Gulls on River including Glaucous,

Just a quick note for winter listers that the Black-throated Gray Warbler
is still at Britannia in Ottawa. This morning Michelle Locke and I found it
near the filtration plant at the end of Cassels Street. Also of interest in
the area were Double-crested Cormorant, Yellow-rumped Warbler
Seen by mobs multiple times between 7:45 and 9:15 at multiple spots. Center and

For winter listers: I came across the Sapsucker along the path just west of the
parking lot on the path parallel to the Humber River. From the parking lot walk
the paved path down to the river and take the paved path to the right and look
in the bare trees along the right side of the path

Today marks the first day of winter listing, the period of time running from
December 1 until February 28/29. I will be compiling the winter bird list in
Ontario again this year. Approximately 346 species of birds have been recorded
in Ontario during the winter period, with usually
