Hi Ontbirders,
A male Blue-winged Warbler was singing just to the north of the parking lot for
the Jack Pine Trail (P9, Stoney Swamp) at about 9:20 am, this morning. Bird was
singing loudly and frequently. Photos taken and submitted with eBird checklist.

Hi all,
Just had a Blue-winged Warbler singing at the top of the Uplands trail in
Thornhill in the dense, leafy brush at the top of the ravine. Not sure about
access for the general public, but the only way I know for sure would be from
the Uplands golf course itself.

I just saw a Blue Winged Warbler signing its heart out from top of a pine
tree. The location is right near the plaza where there is a Tim Hortons. In
front of BJ's Photo Lab. Its close to my office.
You can actaully look for 468, Phillip Street, Waterloo ON. It was oppsite
to that address on the
I found 1 on the waterfront trail just west of Lakeside Park near the Suncor
Energy driveway at 2310 Lakeshore Rd West between Winston Churchill and
Southdown Rd. Mississauga. It was in the dogwood on the west side of the

A detailed formal report was submitted to the OFNC Records
Subcommittee on a Blue-winged Warbler well seen and heard at the
Britannia Conservation Area at 10:55 this morning, July 5. It was
along the trail to the southwest corner of Mud Pond.

This morning shortly before 11AM, a singing Blue-winged Warbler was at
Britannia\Mud Lake in the open area north of the sumac field. After a couple of
minutes, the bird disappeared (presumably flew out of the back of the bush it

This morning between 7:30 and 8:00 we observed a singing Blue-winged
Warbler. It was first seen near the base of peninsula D and was making its
way towards the tip.
We also had some new arrivals (for the study area) including Scarlet
Tanager, Common Yellowthroat, Lincoln's Sparrow,
Things were slow in Thickson's Woods this morning but with luck and
patience there were a few good birds to be found.

At lunchtime today I had a Blue-winged Warbler in the woodlot north-west
of Tunney's Pasture, the woodlot that hosted a Prothonotary Warbler a
couple of years ago. The blue-wing was with a small group of migrant
passerines in the same spot that the prothonotary was, namely the
western part of the
1 Blue-winged Warber. Other species/numbers of interest: 1 Green Heron, 1 Least
Flycatcher, 1 Great Crested Flycatcher, 2 Eastern Kingbirds, 1 Blue-gray
Gnatcatcher, 1 Northern Parula, 4 Black-throated Blue Warbers, 54 species
total. Species diversity not particularly high and individual
It was pretty quiet at Sam Smith Park this morning. I heard and viewed a
blue-winged warbler in the bushes to the east of the marina. After visiting the
bowl I saw the bird again on the west side of the path beside the small stream.
There also was a Lincoln's Sparrow.
Other sightings
A nice male Blue-winged Warbler joined a small flock of migrating warblers in
my yard today (Ravenscroft and Westney Rd) ... this is an uncommon migrant in
Ajax ... #161 all-time yard list bird

Yesterday morning Jenn Bock and I had a Blue-winged Warbler at
the JC Taylor Centre at the Guelph Arboretum. Also in the Arb over
the weekend were:

-Blue-headed Vireo
-Veery
-Brown Thrasher
