I've been looking at texlive and am trying to figure out how to proceed.
The first thing to note is that upstream distribution links their
binaries statically, at least as far as the texlive libraries go (there
are two).
There are a huge number of programs in the livetex distribution. I

Has anyone done Iced Tea with LFS 7? Personally, I try to stay away
from Java, but some packages need it so I was going to install it.

Has anyone done a kvm or qemu installation in LFS? Right now I'm
working on dracut so I can put in instruction for an initramfs in the
filesystems section of the book, but the testing wants either a kvm or
qemu installation to run.

Yes. The options also needed to be reformatted because they were
running way beyond the right side of the screen.
