Just saw your commit 10527, and remembered: I said the patch would solve 0644,
but I had in the script chmod 0644, so, can only say that searched the patch
and found no reference Just saw your comitt to pam nor to file permissions.

When I first found that printing failed, tried the printer's scanner,
and it worked. After messing with CUPS, XSane stopped to find the
