I have one and have no complaints with it. The only problem I've run into is
some static in the speaker when I push the button on the positive lead.
I hate to say for the price it's a great meter. It's a very good meter and
typically something blind people would be forced to pay 3 or 4
I can't imagine what complaint blind persons might have. This is a low cost
meter witch so far as I can tell performs well. What would make it better?
Maybe a braille manual, I sometimes can't remember which function position does
what but there isn't room on the face to apply large braile
I can't remember the positions eeither so I turn it on first and then rotate
the dial. If it doesn't say what the measurement is, just push the button.
You'll know if it's AC or DC volts, amps or resistance just by the response.
If that doesn't tell someone enough, they probably shouldn't be
those of us who have purchased these meters from MPJA and are happy
with them should contact them and let them know so they are encouraged
to continue carrying them.
they probably got whines from some silly blindies who wanted labratory grade
instruments for that price.
So go buy one and stop

I have one on the way. I didn't talk to anyone; just did the web order. It
will be nice to finally have an accessible meter.

Hey all:
Over the past 4 years or so, I've needed a roofing nailer 3 times. If I add up
all the money I've spent on renting one, I
have purchased one for the tool rental company out right. In my mind, I'm
thinking I won't use one enough to purchase one; but,
evidently, this isn't the case.
Aloha Terry,
Well, you could buy one and rent it out to others
for less than the rental place and then you'd
have it if and when you need it. It may be one of
those things like when you throw something away
you need it the next day, but if you don't have
it you'll need to keep renting.

I just bought a DeWalt coil roofing nailer. I haven't got to use it yet, but
it looks very well designed and I like the safety features. Since you've used
one of these before, could you tell me how many coil nails you drive into a
single standard 3-tab shingle? I'm just curious if more coil
I forgot to mention that I paid about $115 for my DeWalt nailer. Bought it
re-ferbbed from Tool King.

If you use the roofing nailer quite a bit, get one. If not, do you have a
friend who would let you borrow one? If not, then you don't have much choice
except to rent.

So, does it have such a beast? Just nice to have.

Hi Terry
For me it is better to have the tools and nails on hand so that I do not have

My wife hates woodworking stores and hard ware stores, so we do not go often.
when I go, I get every thing I need or think I might need.

I agree. I really dislike looking for something or trying to get a tool to

Consider a reconditioned one. You can pick one up for about half the price of

Terry,
Since I am not trying to cut down on my tool purchases, and am an
unabashed tool hoar, I emphatically say that you should log on right now,
and pick yourself up a sweet little roofing nailer. And you might as well
get some new table saw blades while you're at it.

Terry,
Since I am not trying to cut down on my tool purchases,
Find a friend who has had even less money o rent one, who is in need of
the use of one; and get them to fund the purchase with their borrow and or
part ownership; maybe a brother or son?
Anything past that balance point and you are loosing.

Terry,
My philosophy on this has always been that if I have to rent an item and I have
to pay a cab to go get it and again to take it back to the rental s hop then
I'll probably be money ahead buying the item from someplace that will deliver
it to me somehow. This rule has served me well
