Files and hissing sound

Hi there, I'm the proud new owner of a 2nd hand brewtus iii-v. There is periodically a gentle hissing sound coming from the top right of the machine inside. I am thinking of opening up the machine to have a look at what's causing it so decided to go to the file room and look at manuals etc.

Probably a leaking vacuum release on the steam boiler. The release has an o-ring in it that can either perish from the heat or sometimes get some calcium on it causing it to leak. If mine starts hissing I usually just remove the cover and give the pin sticking out at few taps with a wooden spoon.

I opened it, it's the vacuum breaker. I gave it a tap and it's much better (thanks for the advice) but it still leaks very small droplets. Do you think this is normal or should I get the wrench to it and replace the o-ring? Gambaman. On Friday, September 27, 2013 11:24:15 AM UTC+2, sc00bs

Pressure

Ok, great feedback already on this group. Impressed. I'm pulling beautiful shots on the Brewtus and enjoying every one! However, I've noticed the pressure gauge doesn't get above 7bar after the pre-infusion. Everything's going fine regarding crema and shots are the right volume. Should I be
