Hi there,
I'm the proud new owner of a 2nd hand brewtus iii-v.
There is periodically a gentle hissing sound coming from the top right of
the machine inside.
I am thinking of opening up the machine to have a look at what's causing it
so decided to go to the file room and look at manuals etc.
Probably a leaking vacuum release on the steam boiler. The release has an
o-ring in it that can either perish from the heat or sometimes get some
calcium on it causing it to leak. If mine starts hissing I usually just
remove the cover and give the pin sticking out at few taps with a wooden
spoon.
I opened it, it's the vacuum breaker.
I gave it a tap and it's much better (thanks for the advice) but it still
leaks very small droplets.
Do you think this is normal or should I get the wrench to it and replace
the o-ring?
Gambaman.

Ok, great feedback already on this group. Impressed.
I'm pulling beautiful shots on the Brewtus and enjoying every one!
However, I've noticed the pressure gauge doesn't get above 7bar after the
pre-infusion. Everything's going fine regarding crema and shots are the right
volume. Should I be
