Call ahead to Fry's Electronics. Their 12 AWG did not break the bank in a small spool. Without an account or part number, the larger companies would charge too much for a small order of this 10 AWG. You did not specify 120 VAC or 12 VDC use, as the insulation can be quite different*. Any

I've seen a lot of the cheap wire that has a thick outer jacket that would give the impression that it is (x) gauge wire, but the actual wire inside is smaller than the gauge it is supposed to be. You might try Eddie over at River Oaks Car Stereo or look at the stuff West Mountain Radio sells

Larry, I did find some listings on Amazon, and since I have Prime, it's a good candidate, but a lot of them say "NOT Automotive 10ga wire" and I was trying to figure out what the heck that meant. I've been to Home Depot and Lowe's locations locally, and they don't carry 10ga zip cord. Thanks
