Re: [BVARC] Radiowavz, K4KIO or NA4RR hexbeam

2016-10-18 Thread Rob McClure via BVARC
Gary,

Great info! I think at least for me, the degradation issue between 10 and
12m is negligable, based on the OCF and the Alpha vertical that I am coming
from, regardless of which broadband version of hexbeam I'm going to.

But the rest this is a lot to drink in. I do have more questions that I
have for the manufacturers.

Again, great stuff and thanks for passing it along.

Re: [BVARC] Thank you for the BVARC FOLKS WHO CAME BY

2016-10-18 Thread Jeffery MacMillian via BVARC
Good Evening All,

Camp Hope was a great event. So for a Vet and a Ham, this was a wonderful
way to show our Veterans in need how much world cares about them.

The Texas A team was large and the University of Texas team showed great
team work. Both teams had some amazing kids flexing their Ham skills.

Bob did a great job at getting the event together and went above in beyond
promoting the months and weeks prior to the date.

The 20-40m Fan dipoles from RadioWavez we used were allot easier to tune up
then the ones I build at home. I might have a Chinese measuring tape. :)

I had the opportunity to speak with several of the residence of the Camp
and it truly is a lifeline that helps these heroes get back on their feet.

This is an easy cause to get behind and a great place to add in some of the
fellowship we as Hams get to share each day to some people that need to
know there is a whole world out that waiting to hear from them on HF.

I am very thankful that I got to be a part of it and there was free beer.
:)

Have Fun,
Jeffery MacMillian
