Thanks for the eTT info and the idea about messing around with the start of the alphabet. I wonder if someone, rather than simply messing around, started at "A" and got overwhelmed by "B" even though they began trying to submit more or less real observations. When I think about American White Pelic

Well that explains what an "eTT" report is! Thanks. I did find it
very odd that there were only 5 species listed with no details, times,
or anything to support such rare bird claims. Anyway, agreed
that these two species could be showing up anywhere...there

I just called the Montezuma lodge and neither Mark Miller nor Chuck Gibson

Please take a very close look at any CATEs sighted in this area. A colleague has
banded and color marked (tarsus) several in Canada. He has used yellow and red
bands. Particularly interested in the yellow bands as those birds have GPS tags.
Photos, exact location, time and date would be helpful.
Apologies. I was just reminded that Cayuta Lake is not in the basin.

reports are rather frequent sources of false alarms in the eBird Google
gadget and maybe other alert functions.
If so, given that the full checklist contains two very rare birds out of
only five birds reported, all clus
