As I was just walking into the office building, I watched an Eastern Kingbird
in O parking lot trees (near BTI). As I was booting up the computer, I saw a
couple of birds land in the oaks and they turned out to be Yellow-rumped
Warblers! Hope there is more to come! Weather seems perfect
Does anyone know where I can find the Spanish names of local birds?

I had a very cooperative bay breasted warbler in some low trees by CC lot,
across from Clara Dickson Hall at 9:30 this morning. It was low enough that I
could get good views without my binoculars.

About 1/2 an hour ago I saw a warbler-sized bird foraging on the ground under
the trees in front of the parking spaces facing the pond at Cornell
Plantations. It was a pretty uniform brown on top and streaked brown below with
a yellow throat and yellow underside near the tail. The top of the hea
Hi Ray,
Your mystery bird sounds like a western Palm Warbler. Your plumage description
is good, and Palm Warblers are well-known for their tail wagging.
