Hi,
You would need dial-peers with mgcpapp for some types of analog interfaces
on MGCP gateways (e.g. FXO).
Your configuration is ok for ISDN.

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone can say what documentation we have exaclty in a
lab.
Is it only CUCM SRND?
Or do we get UCCX Admin Guide, UC Admin Guide, Cisco IOS 12.4T Documentation
(at least voice section) and all the other config guides available through
cisco web page?
Thanks,
On Fri,
Hello,
You're following the configuration example of a T1 CAS while you're
configuring a T1 PRI.

Hello expert,
I see this The Channel Selection Order which defines the order the system
“hunts” for available channels. The logic here is reversed from a numerical
perspective, as the channels are considered to be top at 1 and bottom at 24,
therefore Top Down selection will select channel 1

Hi Bruno,
Just make sure it's reverse of what the Telco is using, to make sure you
don't try to seize the same channel from both sides at the same time.

Hi Team,
I configured BLF on CUCM and I wanted to get it worked in the same way in
CME too.
Scenario:
I have two lines on the phone.
In CUCM when I configure BLF for Line 1 and it works as expected. BLF
flickers for incoming call , turn red in active call / off hook / DnD.
But on CME.
Hi Shrini,
You would need to add the DN that you wish to monitor in that sense (DND plus
line state change) with this config:
!
ephone-dn 1
number 3001
!
ephone-dn 2
number 3002
!
!
ephone 1
description == Watch My Line 1!
button 1:1
!
ephone 2
description == I'm Watching You!!
button
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the details, this config will watch all lines on ephone 1 , what
if.
ephone-dn 1
number 3001 -- watch only this line
ephone-dn 2
number 3002
ephone-dn 3
number 3004
ephone 1
desc = Watch my first line only and when I press DnD
button 1:1 2:3
ephone 2
button 1:2
Shrini,
You will want to setup your CME configuration something like this:
ephone-dn 1 oct
number 1000 no-reg
name Line1 Phn1
ephone-dn 2 oct
number 1001 no-reg
name Line2 Phn1
ephone-dn 3 oct
number 1002 no-reg
name Line1 Phn2
ephone 1
mac ..
button 1:1 2:2
...
ephone 2
mac

It depends on what you want to do. If you just want to watch the line, you can
enable the presence feature which consists of the presence command (and some
sub commands), the allow watch command under the lines, and the blf speed dial
command under the phone. This setup does NOT watch for DND
Hi Adam,
Below config is working. But if I add button 3:2 under ephone 1, then it is
turning red even if I press line 3 (shared line) on ephone 1.
In call manager it is not like this.
ephone-dn 1 oct
number 1000 no-reg
name Line1 Phn1
ephone-dn 2 oct
number 1001 no-reg
name Line2 Phn1

Never mind. It's the redirect IE checkbox on outbound gateway.
Interesting thing was, this only applies to MGCP but not H323 gateway.
