I usually read every domain name on a post of the sort and send an abuse email (abuse@domain) to try and stop it. In many cases the domain is a spam domain and I'll block it from the HoF mail server. If you investigate and see that they are a spam server then you can do the same. This or course

If a state secedes then we will have more to worry about than whether or not to use a code table for states. To answer your question a code table is good for other reasons. One being you could then use those values elsewhere in the same application and you don't have to duplicate data.

Comparing dates is a pain in the *%% as I'm sure you've found. Try formatting the dates as ODBCDateTimeFormat() inside the SQL statement. If you can't set the date with that function, the database isn't going to read it correctly either. ---mark = Mark
