Pelle, Get yourself some masking tape used by painters. The blue stuff made by Scotch is what I used. Take the tape and tape off your fender edges and hood edges. This way, you protect your paint job from chips and scratches as you try to install the hood and move it around. The blue tape is

Jimmy, You could use either 2.5 or 3. As far as performance both will get the job done for your combo. I went 11's with cheap 2.5 mufflers. So the true decisions are based on $$$ available. I would tend to lean toward 3 and try to get it in stainless. Mandrel bent pipes are a must.

I have 3 going back to a pair of series 40 Flowmasters then 2.5 all the way out the back. I haven't taken it down the strip yet, but I've got a moderately healthy 400 small block in my '68 and would imagine I could drop a pretty healthy big block in it with the same exaust with no worries.

Thanks Ron. From what you're saying, it sounds like 150gph should be more than enough. The BG280 is probably overkill. I was thinking about using a regulator with a bypass, so these kits might not be the way to go. It looks like they come with a basic 2-port regulator. What about brands?

I never tried braided line cutters and shops that deal with braided line frequently have a large cut off saw as Herb mentioned. For an infrequent user such as myself, I went to Lowes and got a large flat chisel; about 3 across the cutting area. Put the hose on a wooden block and smack it

Good point, Clint. I didnt use any tape but I only had 3 or 4 pieces to cut and the chisel was still very sharp. Also think that masking tape would work better than duct tape or electrical tape in this instance. Id think itd be a bit more flexible and allow the hose to better rebound to a
