It can be done with 2 effects. Note if you are converting to NTSC (720x480) you cannot do this unless you add back in the "1080 to 480" effect that was removed or "changed" to 1080x540 some time ago. I have no idea why it was removed/changed. - load HDV file, do "resize track" and make sure it'

I performed a lot of tests and by chance it seems work now ! I did : 1. Uninstall ALL stuff depending from libfaad (cinelerra, avidemux, ffmpeg...) 2. Install libfaad0_2.5-2_i386.deb and faad_2.5-2_i386.deb from http://mirrors.ircam.fr/pub/debian/pool/main/f/faad2/?C=N;O=A 3. Removed them (!)
