You don't have an EIGRP problem, the routing protocol has nothing to
do with an interface being up or down. 12.0.8 is prey old, before
beating your head I would upgrade the IOS.

I agree- EIGRP would be the last place I would look as a cause.

You should be looking down a couple layers. EIGRP operation can't cause the
line protocol to go down. The line protocol being down indicates a
data-link layer problem or maybe a physical-layer problem. What more can
you tell us about this installation? There must be some more clues if you

The only bug I know about EIGRP in IOS 11.2 is this one (I experienced it
with some Cisco 25xx, some directly connected routes weren't propagated).

Hello,
We have a 4500 (IOS 11.2.16 IP) at hub with static

Thanks in advance.
Hi there
You can also try sh ip eigrp events, this is a hidden command. Dump the
output to a text file. Next you will need to use the output interpreter at
CCO https://www.cisco.com/support/OutputInterpreter/parser.html (you will
need a CCO login for this) and it will decode the events for you.

Hello,
We have about 20 core routers running EIGRP. For some
reason, EIGRP recaculated ALL routes every 10-15

caculate effected routes, right? I turned on debug ip
eigrp notification on some routers but didn't find
anything wrong. How do I

An easier way to see if you have any active routes would be sh ip eigrp

You could also add 'eigrp log-neighbor-changes' (double check the dashes)

config as well and either log to a syslog server or to a

Without having all the configs and info, I'll take a shot at this.
Since this is only happening at some sites you may want to look at utilization on the
frame links. If your utilization is so high that you are missing eigrp hellos, the
routing protocol may decide that the route is not there and
