[clementine-player] A big thanks to the developers

2020-09-13 Thread jeffer...@gmail.com
I just upgraded to Xubuntu 20.04 and Clementine 1.4 rc1 came along for the ride. The player is now remembering my column layout, which was the most annoying thing, for me anyway, of the 1.3 version. Thanks to everyone who is working on this program. It's working great for me. -- You receive

[clementine-player] Adding labels for radio streams

2020-09-24 Thread jeffer...@gmail.com
I don't believe I asked this before. I have a Radio playlist with a handful of entries. Some are from the Icecast list while three are custom URLs I have added to the "Your radio streams" category. The three I have added have names for the streams which are displayed under "Your radio stream

[clementine-player] Telling that music library has changed

2020-11-14 Thread jeffer...@gmail.com
Something I've wondered about is how does Clementine know when something in the music library has been changed or added? Without wading through the code, could some developer who knows just give a high-level answer. From an efficiency point of view, it doesn't seem like a file tree walk can be

[clementine-player] Question about smart playlist dynamic mode

2021-01-26 Thread jeffer...@gmail.com
I just discovered the "use dynamic mode" option for smart playlists, but I'm not clear on what's actually happening here. I assumed that as I added new tracks to my library, the smart playlist in an open tab would automatically update with matching files immediately (i.e., when current song fi

[clementine-player] Is it possible to do a case-sensitive search?

2021-11-28 Thread jeffer...@gmail.com
Apparently, I have created a Genre entry named "jazz" (it is now being suggested when I fill in a new track information form) when all other entries are "Jazz". I'd like to find and fix the rogue entry, but I cannot find a way to do a case-sensitive search, and searching for "jazz" produces ov

[clementine-player] Suggestion for Clementine regarding album covers

2022-01-09 Thread jeffer...@gmail.com
I always download a Folder.jpg of the album cover for every album I add to my music library. I started noticing that many covers associated with albums were not the images I downloaded so I bit the bullet and went through my entire library and updated all albums to use the file on the disk. T

[clementine-player] Occasional Clementine Error

I'm using Clementine Version 1.4 rc1 on my Xubuntu desktop. Clementine runs pretty continuously, playing music from my library. Maybe once every day or two I get a pop-up error window that says: Disconnected: Bad state I think this often happens right at the end of a playing song. However

[clementine-player] Display scalling problem with Clementine

2022-09-30 Thread jeffer...@gmail.com
Clementine 1.4 rc2 I'm on Xubuntu. I just upgraded from 20.02 to 22.02.1 and it was a miserable experience with many things breaking. I'm getting back to normal now and Clementine is operating fine, but it is now scaling fonts much too big and I cannot determine why. It is the only app exhib

[clementine-player] How to compile best recent clementing development build

I asked a question about Clementine's improper font scaling after an upgrade to Xubuntu 22.04.1 but there were no responses, so I thought I would build it myself and see if the problem resolved. My current player is from the standard repository, version 1.4.0_rc1+git347-gfc4cb6fc7+dfsg-2 and A
