Stus-List Insurance

When I purchased my boat I did a lot of shopping around. I went with American Family Insurance. Fantastic company. If I could have them for all my insurance needs, I would. But I have had my home and auto with Geico for over 40 years and my discounts cannot be beat. My boat insurance is

My insurance is with Boat US, and my rates did not go up. Since I sail on Lake Michigan and not in coastal areas or waters, I speculate that location may have something to do with it. We don't have hurricanes here. I also speculate that the hurricanes which have destroyed so many boats are

Headstay length for a 30-1 appears to be between 40 and 41 feet. Looking at the luff length and the foot length vs. J of a 30-1, it would appear that the 1st sail (with a luff of 39’) is a 90% Blade, while the shorter sail is a 115% Lapper. The lapper actually has more sail area than the blade.
