When you say "width of the glue joint is narrow" do you mean the horizontal
surface or the inner vertical surface..?
I put the VHB tape on the horizontal surface as close to the inner horizontal
edge (you can barely see it in the cabin) and a 795 bead in the space betw
FWIW:
Perhaps one more try with PB Blaster?
Unscrew fitting and twist the fitting off of the hose?
Tap into the cap holes and screw in some substantial bolts...use a large lever
to persuade it off?
Worse case unscrew the fitting, cut hose where you can see it and pull the
whole dang thing out

OK...so I am trying to put a trickle charger on top of my sliding companionway
hatch. Found a quality one within the length (27") and width (24") of the
hatch but it is too tall at 1" and the hatch will not slide open.
Anybody find a setup that might work that is not one of those cheapo

Nice touch and always the little details that set off the boat. On my list
when the last child has graduated college next year and I can get the dang boat
repainted!

Eugene,
Do not share bilge pump outputs. It greatly diminishes the pumps capacity.
And you don't want diminished capacity if you have an emergency and need to run
all the pumps. Also that kind of run to the stern will diminish output.

We have used it offshore to augment 12v refrig to keep battery consumption
down. Never had a problem.

I saw a ladder similar to mine at Wickford (RI) Marine consignment shop. My
ladder is on the transom secured by clevis pins and pivots up...

Specifically I have no idea, but to provide some perspective my 1981 40' has
two 30 gallon water tanks and a 20 gallon holding tank.
I highly doubt you have a 78 gallon water tank or a 35.5 gallon holding tank on
a 30'. That's a lot of tank.

Am looking at acquiring a C&C 41 (keel is 7' 10") out of Massachusett
I did this years ago but added salt water as well. One foot pump can pump
fresh or salt water or icebox. Just a few valves and hose. It is so easy to
clean the icebox.
