Sam I did have a similar issue myself. I found that by taking a 1ft piece of 3/8ths twisted Cable to feed it in over the sheaves to begin the process at the top of the mast attached to a drop line works best. The twisted cable acted as the weight. On my 35 I was able to take out the bottom pulley

I have been thinking in similar lines of the Honda 2000i or so. What I
have been playing with is a design for my C 35 MkI where the generator would
sit below the Starboard cockpit hatch just behind where others have put a
refrigeration system for the ice box.

that I have chosen for now is the Garmin 74dv echomap chirp system. I like the

Growing up on the Sea Coast of Maine I saw this on a regular basis. During my
stint in the Military I was the Craftmaster of a 100 vessel with twin screws.
The twin screws make all the difference of laying a vessel up along side or
into a narrow berth if you know what you are doing.

Not that this will help with the Nut problem, but I changed out my electronics
and depth sounder so my chart plotter/depth display now gets its depth readings
from a "In-Hull" transducer that shoots the beam through the hull. The
transducer screws to a mount. The mount is glued/epoxied in place
