Hey Joel, I think the Thimble Islands on the CT coast are pretty neat. We also loved going up to Essex on the CT river. The Griswold Inn there has a fantastic sea shanty night. Northport is a nice little town. Oyster bay has a couple nice anchorages. Ziegler's Cove is a pretty anchorage as well.

Hey Rob the tube diameter on mine is 2 1/4" and yeah 1 1/18" shaft. Some are 1 1/4" I put a Lasdrop Gen on there. Not sure I'd recommend it though because the pressure housing has worked its way loose twice letting water in while underway. Josh Muckely has had better luck with is I believe. --

I've seen several installations that used a vertical windlass that straddled the front bulkhead so that the motor was in the v-berth and then covered up. Not sure if this is possible on the 37/40. Chris's seems cleaner hidden below but might be useful to have that extra drum on the foredeck.

Hi all, for making new floorboards for a laminate I was thinking of 3/4" marine ply with coats of epoxy after getting to the right size. Then using epoxy to attach the laminate. Would love to keep them as light as possible but still waterproof. Is there a better way to go on this? thanks!
