should check the fuses. Odds are there are one or two inside

34 failed before I began unplugging before starting, and did not fail after I

shore charger would be basically ignored or not seen
I also do it all the time. Essentially the alternator and charger are in
parallel. They shouldn't be competing or conflicting.
