My 35-1 has the same two bands, one at each end of the keel. When I first got the boat the insurance survey found voids at the top end of them on one side where the raised part fairs back to the normall hull thickness, which had to be from the original layup as there's not much load at the top

That would be difficult – there are too many. On the Apple side, it is easy – you need GSM (cellular) enabled iPad (no cellular plan is needed), but the module is shared between the GSM(HSUPA/LTE) and GPS. On the Android side – look for the specs. If it says GPS – yes, it is good, if it says
