Thanks everyone for your input. The Aqua Signal connector looks like a great
idea as we take down the mast every year for haul out.

Hi Rick
I have a 10 year old Martec elliptical RHDH14P-3 one inch shaft that I replaced
with a Flex-o-fold last year. This was used with Yanmar 3GM30F. It is

Hello all,
We have a 1994 C&C 37/40 + where the shower temperature handle to shower head
hose is leaking. Though there is an access port it is not large enough to see
or fix the problem.
Has anyone fixed this sort of problem before?
Thank you,

Never had to tackle this job but I've feared the day I might. Don't forget
about the possibility of getting to it from the aft cabin.

Bruce,
That dark grey “stripe” that goes around the entire head is removable. It’s
big, and you’ll need someone to help so it doesn’t break, but, once off, you
will have access to the shower controls, as well as the sink faucet and holding
tank.
All the best,

Hi Bruce,
I have a Martec folder on my boat (34+ also called 34/36) which is your
boat's little sister.
We've been using it for 3 seasons and it's world of difference in sailing
speed compared to a fixed 3 blades. It's measurably better in all
conditions.
What you need to get it going:

Time to put away the skis and snowboard and switch to sailing mode.
Haven't been on Touche' since mid-January. Planning to head over to
Pensacola Wednesday for a couple days on the boat.
Found this article while doing some "web sailing". Interesting that the
charter company rented a C&C 30. Wel
Dennis,
Switching to sailing mode as I type. Just finished packing for a 4:00 AM
departure to Sarasota. Florida for the Corsair Nationals. Two days practice on
Wednesday and Thursday. Three days of racing starting Friday.
Push Touche’ a bit longer and further South and I’ll stand you to a beer!

Francois,
It’s great to hear that someone else has had good experience with the Martec
prop. I’m happy with mine. I will be sending it in for the first rebuild.
I’ve owned the boat for 18 years and this is the first time it will be needed.
Of course, in those 18 years I’ve only logged 80

OK, you all know I have a Martec on Touche' and, for the most part, am
satisfied with it. However, if I did change, my inclination would be to
replace it with a geared 2 blade folder. Especially since I think Martec
doesn't make non-geared folders anymore.
I have a SPECIFIC question for those wh
Flex-o-fold, and no. However: a) I’ve only had mine on for one season; b) I
noticed at the end of the season that it did not open and close as smoothly as
it did when first installed (although it appeared to be working fine); and c)
I’m on Lake Erie, so my marine growth is not the same as yours
Flex-o-fold, no issues opening in forward, a quick shot of power opens fine in
reverse, less prop walk than the fixed 2 blades it replaced.

No. But my boat is only in the water (fresh water at that) for seven months at
a time.
However one calm day last summer I eased her into a shallow cove so I could
clean her bottom while standing on the lake bottom. I realized too late I was
in an area of grasses / algae / vegetation. When I
