afternoon 2/16/2010.
1) I saw the Barrow's Goldeneye in south central Denver as reported -- just
north of Florida Avenue and South Platte River Drive. There is a small paved
parking area on Florida Avenue

Hello birders in CO,
I'm heading up to Denver in a few days and am wondering where to go as
we head up to Summit County. Birds of interest are Ferruginous and
Rough-legged Hawks, Ptarmigans and Rosy-finches (of course). Also, are
there any lakes in the Denver area that have ducks and gulls at the
Cobirders,
I saw the White-winged Crossbill pair at Grandview Cemetery today between
12:30 and 1:00pm. As in the posts of late they were in the Southeast corner
near the maintenance shed and pump house. Dave Leatherman was already there
and he helped me to get on them. Thanks to Dave for staying

large pack of Herring and Ring-billed Gulls on the ice of the
northeast lake. I hiked in from the open space office on 75th and saw
the bird from the large hill there around 5:00 PM. The Horned Grebe
