edited 2 photos that I took on Monday of the Least Bittern at Holcim
Wetlands as I watched it patiently stalk it's prey. I was happy to have
better light just before 7am to get these pics compared to the fading light

Not being able to go birding for 3 days had resulted in withdrawal symptoms
that I just couldn't take so this evening I drove out to a few place near
Canon City just to see if anything was around. As I restricted from putting
by eyes directly into binoculars and spotting scope, I found that one

I led a very enjoyable field trip for the Boulder Bird Club this morning. No
stop-the-presses birds, but a beautiful, cool, sunny morning with good company.
Six of us started out at 7:00 a.m. at the CO93XCO128 trail head. We walked the
trail down to Coal Creek mainly looking at Vesper
