I looked for the Northern Parula yesterday that was reported by Rich Miller
on Tuesday on the Canon City Riverwalk by Sell's parking area with no
success. That said, due to the residual smoke from the wildfire just west
of Canon City I only looked within a few hundred feet of the location he

Meadowlark, then heard a bird sing the eastern song repeatedly. This was

ridge to the south. Later, the bird moved down closer to the shelter. It sang
both Eastern and Western songs. After 8:15, the bird became diffic
The Northern Bobwhite continued this morning, although around 6:45am it was
actually at the north parking lot for the East Boulder Rec Center in the
landscaping. I got remarkable looks and excellent sound recordings of it
proudly singing his name for all who cared to listen.
