Other interesting birds of note included a small flock of Short-billed

Hi all,
This evening I had a Northern Parula working a row of shrubs just south of
Community Park in downtown Louisville. It was with a large flock of
Yellow-rumpeds. Also in the area were good numbers of sparrows (eight
species total) and a Wilson's Snipe along Empire Road.

an early Red-naped Sapsucker, and the White-throated Sparrow continued in a
private community south of the town. Also present were Red Crossbills,

Yesterday the adult male Surf Scoter continued at San Luis Lakes. This was
viewed from the NW shore of the main lake. Other birds of interest there
included two distant dowitchers, a Baird's Sandpiper, many ibis, and two
Forster's Tern.

Hi,
Today my brother and I visited Walden Ponds in search of the heron/egret,
and found a bird that has characteristics that seem to support a Little
Blue Heron. The legs are definitively yellow, and the bill is bicolored
(flesh pink and black). It was with a dispersed flock of Snowy Egrets
Reservoir, where there was a Semipalmated Sandpiper
