Some COBirders reminded me that I should not use the bander's four letter codes
as they are not fluent with them
so I am sending corrected list
I am so sorry - I meant to type out the full names - plus I made a typo :(
OSWA should be OCWA = Orange-crowned Warbler
BCCH 2 = Black-capped
Birders,
I'm currently watching 2 CASSIN'S KINGBIRDS in south Boulder. I'm at a place
known to open space people as Sam's Lane, although I doubt it would be called
anything on a map. To find the location, drive south on Cherryvale rd from s
boulder rd. Cross over Hwy 36. Look for a gated dirt
Hi Cobirders
Well we had another great day at Chico Basin Ranch. Our third 100+ bird day in

All,
The juvenile Am Golden Plover was again at the northwest corner
of Boulder Res between 3 and 3:30pm, when it flew northwest.
David Waltman and I got to see it. However, Maggie Boswell
called to say she was looking at it again at 4:40; same place,

After a dentist appointment this morning I had a bit of time off and

Greetings, Cobirders!
Below is my eBird report for the bird walk we had with members of Aiken
Audubon this morning. In all there were eight of us. The main target bird
was the LEWIS'S WOODPECKER, and we didn't even have to leave the parking lot
to begin seeing them. Over the course of the
Hi all:
Since I seem to be getting a variety of questions concerning the aforementioned
Rose-breasted Grosbeak, I thought that I'd expand a bit on the topic.
First off, there are grosbeaks and then there are grosbeaks. Recall that some
bird species called grosbeak are cardinals, that is, are

It was a beautiful day on the prairie, with some good birds but no rarities
that I could find. Lots of Vesper, Brewer's, and Chipping Sparrows on the
move. Still a few Lark Buntings and McCown's Longspurs around.
Norma's Grove (CR 100/CR 57) Highlights:
Cassin's Kingbird (1)
Blue Grosbeak

Carried my binoculars around while doing farm work today. Not many
migrants around, but was nice to see a Red-naped Sapsucker and maybe
the last nighthawks of the year for me (?). I wish them a safe
journey and hope they return! I bet a storm would really shake things
up but don't see any
