It's visible from the streets or alleys in the neighborhood. You best bet
is to listen for the song and then look for the bird. Use common sense and
don't go into any backyards.

We just had great looks at a singing Carolina Wren on 6th st, one-two
blocks west of Sunnyside park in Loveland. Between Pierce and Adams.

The Harris's Hawk is currently perched in a tree about 250 m from the
Running Deer Natural Area parking lot on the south side of Prospect Blvd in

I just watched the Harris's Hawk fly in from the west and land out of sight
on the south side of Hageman's recycling center next to the Colorado
Welcome Center on Prospect Blvd in Fort Collins.

To post to this group,
Yesterday afternoon Nick Komar and I had a large flock of gulls feeding
along the NE edge of Horseshoe Lake. Most of them were Ring-bills, but 60+
Bonaparte's were there too. Most exciting was a first-cycle Glaucous-winged
Gull that Nick was able to photograph.

but I didn't think much of it. This morning, while out with the dog,
I heard 4+ RBNU calling in my Fort Collins neighborhood. It seems early for
these guys to be so low this early. Is anyone else seeing/hearing unusual
numbers of RBNUs along the Front Range?

I haven't heard or seen any along LCR 5 this year. Unfortunately, the
Soapstone location is the only guaranteed location that I know of with
public access.

easiest reached from the south parking lot, walking east along the
Pronghorn Trail. It's about 3.2 miles each way, so bring lots of water and
get an early start if you want to see them.
