Looks like junk. I think this is just a 5MP digital camera put in a box
with its focus fixed to a fixed distance. 1800 dpi sounds like a lot but
isn't because 35mm slides are small. Slide scanners usually operate at
4000, 6000, or 8000 dpi
This is the FCC's take on the rules.

antenna unless they don't. There are small stealthy antennas that
work in the UHF range where the HD/Digital signals are.

I was looking at the Lumix (I can't help but read that as lummox) and the
Canon S5. Both are very nice cameras and are priced about the same.
I ended up getting the Canon as it has the hot shoe and uses AA batteries,
as opposed to the proprietary battery that Panasonic uses. Also, after

I forgot to mention the variable, camcorder-like LCD screen that the Canon
has. It can fold into the camera altogether and present the plastic back of
the screen, letting you use only the view finder.
I liked that feature over the fixed screen on the Panasonic. It helps
protect the screen and
I can second your familiarity point. I bought the S5 for my wife and because
the setup and menu is so like the Canon A620 the learning curve was almost
nonexistent.

Okay, I don't think the 6200 has HDMI out so I've taken the time to

I think I ended up spending around $300. I bought a lot of stuff on

The answer avoids an important issue. The aspect ratio of SD vs. HD is
different. This means that your already small SD screen will be made even
smaller when the HD size picture is letterboxed to fit on your SD screen.
I bet you won't like it.
