I've seen it. Subscribed to it for a month or so. But never actually saw any apps worth installing, so dropped it. Thing is, most things I could already do with other apps I already had. Some others were clearly lite versions that would only tempt me to buy up. Still others were versions sure to

[CGUYS] Region 2

2009-11-19 Thread chad evans wyatt
I am shortly to receive a set of DVD's of a theatre piece performed in Serbia.  That is Region 2, we are Region 1.  Ideally, I would like to play these discs on my g4 desktop and laptop.  Anyone have luck with this problem?

Betty, Thanks. Just last week, my wife and I wondered if there was way to share pictures off our cell phones without incurring a cost from the cell phone company. This worked. Thanks Steve b_s-wilk wrote: Does your phone have Bluetooth? I transfer pictures via BT to my S-E phone.

My wife has a MacBookPro running OS 10.5.8. She just bought an external hard drive for backup purposes. (We figured that she'd use Time Machine.) The drive can be connected by USB 2 or FireWire (both 400 800). She has all three ports on her MacBook Pro. I am assuming that best one for her

[CGUYS] Will Postfix talk to Thunderbird?

I need a dumb demo of sending and receiving email on a Mac (Unix) that is not connected to a network. I have Postfix running fine. Can Thunderbird pick up mail from the var/spool/postfix folder or do I need to add something? Telnet localhost 110 does not connect. What am I missing?
