there aren't any nvidia source packages...
the srpm you are talking about is simply a collection already-compiled
of object-files ( or how to call them in linux), so you can link them
for the current kernel... no sources.

I have this problems ever since the switch to dm for X startup. The
shutdown of the system takes serveral minutes, because the gdm stays
in a restart loop for a while. The problem seems to be that the xfs
service gets killed before the dm service, that's why the restart of
gdm after the last
