You don't want to use dried beans in chili. If you must include them cook them first independently and measure them out. The cooking time for beans is longer than for chili, and it's best to boil beans for at least half an hour before simmering them so you get rid of the esters that cause

If you want to start off with dried beans see if you can find a bag of 15 bean soup or 10 bean soup at your local grocery store. Hank really likes 15 bean. It has a packet of seasoning that you mix into the water and let cook before you put the beans in at least that is what I do when doing
