CentOS 8 binaries will probably need to be compiled. The build-it script will
try to do that. It may fail.
The build logs will, by default, be in ~/public_html/build-logs.

Don't worry about the gtk stuff, it shouldn't be necessary, I think that
error pops up all the time for me.
$ yum install fftw2
should hopefully fix the other library dependency.
(I found this easily online)
You don't say specifically, but I'm guessing you're not familiar with

Centos 8 is newer than what was used to compile coot. It will be missing some
libraries that are installed with a a centos7 or 6 system. Usually, 8 has an
upgraded version of a module and the compiled version is looking for the old
