Pardon that I'm replying to my own post, but I should add that I compiled
courier with the following options:
$ ./configure --without-ipv6\

--with-mailgroup=courier\
--enable-mimetypes=/var/www/conf/mime.types
--without-certdb

Dont worry, the script itself was just used as the basis. I've changed the
handling of addresses, environment variables, etc. The web-designers were

Trouble is my preferred windows mail client Becky! does not see any
messages in the inbox. It can see all other folders, and

I have set the version= line in /usr/local//usr/lib/courier/etc/authdaemonrc
to read:

running .../authdaemond start now exits normally - thank you all!

You can already do this. In fact, the PORT setting in the esmtpd
configuration file tells you how to do it.

Hello,
I recently installed courier-imap, and I want to use the pop3 interface
for most of my users, and only leave the IMAP access open for my webmail
system (basically, I don't want people leaving all their E-Mail on our

Separate versions are ok. There is no supplied script to run off port 465,

A couple of us have done this. You have to wind through the courier
