Happy birthday, my friend! Wish you success, happiness and health! And, of
course, a lot of coworking in your life! ;)

When I started my co-working presence in Singapore (a little, 'big'
city?), most chores listed by Angel were done internal i.e. my staffs,
myself who also use the co-work area. As time goes, efforts are
'chipped in' by subscribing members. Maybe it's a 'pick up your own
litter' mentality or the
As we continue to grow we have been receiving more requests for
different membership plans. I was hoping to get some information on
those coworking spaces that have flexible plans such as purchasing
allotted days or hot seat plans where members can rotate the membership
between themselves and
This is where our basic membership has come in handy. Most people who duck
out for a month or two of known away time almost always downgrade to basic
membership. This keeps them in the loop, and they have a constant reminder
that we're here for when they're ready.
Rollover days and whatnot become
Same here. Lots of requests, but not many actual purchases. These interested

Our memberships are set up by days per week but billed monthly so if
they travel and miss a few days they can use them up in the same
calendar month. I don't roll over into future months b/c I also think
it discourages regular participation. I also create custom plans when
people need it. Once
Our office manager knows that if a lite member is in more than 3 days in a
week it's not a huge deal unless it becomes a habit...and then we just
mention it to them. Like Angel said, encouraging rather than discouraging
participation is a more valuable stance long-term than nickel and dime-ing

Some great dialog on various member plans. As compared to Angel
(Cohere) and Alex (IndyHall), we are newbies on the block at
DurangoSpace. Our version of the basic monthly is our Casual Space
(copied from someone in coworking!), with is $50 per month and you
receive 3 day passes

My son (and family), my brother (and family) and my Mom live out in
the SF Bay area.
I may see if I can stop by during a Bay area family trip.
