Hi,
just started playing around with Eierlegende Wollmilchsau (nice name,
BTW) and noticed something odd:
The Java perspective's Search, Source and Refactor menus have "lost
their shape", i.e., all separators are gone and the menu order is very
different than the one used in, e.g., Eclipse IDE fo

Frankly, I like the idea of pushing the metaphors that we use and
challenging look and feel assumptions. I actually quite like the look of
the Launch Bar. It does, however, stand out like a sore thu

I agree, that the bug lauchbar icons looks displaced.
Doug, IIRC you usually a argue for consistency in the IDE. IMHO these
lauchbar icons should use the same size as all the others, otherwise they
are a UI breakage for the user.
We in Platform plans to bring high resolution support for icons in

It was kind of entertaining. In any case, we generate this product
along with the rest of the product catalog, so it will always be
available for testing.

Hi,
I think this is a great effort and I highly appreciate that Ed took the time to
start it. Coming with rules for some really basic sanity checks as they were
already mentioned would be a great benefit. I think

Camille ,
Sorry, it's not my intent to offend anyone and I hoped not to do a lot of
finger pointing though of course it's good if people pay attention and fix
problems that are home grown.

Hi Sebastian,
I think having integration tests for this is a very good idea to make sure that basic sanity checks
are enforced. Maybe creating and maintaining those tests is be something to be addressed with FEEP?

Maybe it's worthwhile to derive some minimal sanity checks from here and

Hi,
We've created an all-in-one Eclipse product affectionately called
Eclipse Eierlegende Wollmilchsau. For the linguistically challenged,
it's the Eclipse Egg-laying Wool-milk-pig. Like the ultimate
