As to the Bible, it is NOT a pile of esoteric mumjo jumbo that some would have it be with nonsensical codes and so forth. The bulk of its prophecies and sayings are clear to average reader. Some sections, like Revelation, were written using symbols in order to protect its messege and hearers from the vicious persectution of Christians by the Roman State, and certain of the fanatical Jewish priests. Most of the other prophecies are discerned if the authentic reader wishes to dig into them and learn. The book of Daniel for instance, predicted not only the demise of the most powerful and ruling kingdom of the day, that was invisaged would rule forver, ie Babylon, but also forcast the rise of susequent kingdoms, even naming them prior to their rise, ie Medo Persia and Grecia. Christ also predicted the destruction of Jerusalem, and in this, he also dualy described what the "end of the world" would be like. In fact there are scores of bible prohecies which were fulfilled. The purpose of biblical prohecy is not make wo/men tin prophets, but to uplift God in every prohpecy.
