Yeah man, you really should do that ;-)

Hi,
how do you guys set the white balance when shooting during the
blue/golden hour? In my understanding using a white reference is
nonsense because that would just level out the nicely colored light
one tries to capture.
Yes, I know it's an of-topic question (non DT-related) so here's the

Hi, three questions I've got:
* There are different ways to change how bright an image is, at
least two are obvious:
- `Contrast Brightness Saturation/brightness` and those listed
in the manual there [1].
- `Exposure/exposure`
Which one should I use for which task,

Thanks for the pointers, but is there anything I can read? I really
prefer reading...

Hi,
I think it should be possible to change exposure and black point by
dragging the histogram. It does not work for me at all: Exposure
instantly goes up to +9EV on the slightest drag, and when dragging
left, the histogram looses focus before I'm even close to normal.
Black point is slightly bet

Hi,
I have asked a similar question, and it's still in the sourceforge
archives [1]. There have been some answers about graphics cards too.
(Yes, I know, it's a real pain to search in the archives...)

Hi,
I'd like to know whether others observe this too, before reporting an
issue:
I have the impression that lighttable is reacting much slower in rc2
(and master), than in previous versions (I am not using OpenCL, never
have). When moving around the mouse cursor, the highlighted thumbnail
lags b

Sorry, this is not DT-related directly, but I assume a bunch of Nikon
& Linux users amongst the readership, and I want to foster free
software in general (so it fits DT again ;-)
Striving for a FOSS-only environment, I was again confronted with
updating the firmware on my camera, without having a

Mine are still there.
Formats have been jped and png. Storage was `/home/sk/da
Hi,
I'm trying to do some Lua scripting, and I run into a problem that I
do not understand. Install this simple script, and bind the provided
funtion "foo" to a shortcut button.

I get the impression that images returned from `dt.collection` carry
the wrong id in their `image.id` field.

Just my 2 cents: Resorting to a more standard UI would be even nicer.
DT is using GTK anyways, but IMHO the balance between looking cool and
beeing usable efficiently is b
